Adult Social Services Case Manager

As a Social Worker within the Adult Social Services Division for the Public Defender Office, Shane provides mitigation, clinical and consultation work as part of the holistic legal team. He works primarily with clients charged with or have felonies. In this role, Shane maintains professional supporting relationships with clients along with advocating or guiding to help with solutions to reduce/minimize incarceration and promote treatment & healing.

Shane possesses experience as a behavioral/mental health professional and an addiction specialist in the following arenas: veterans, first responders, family reunification, domestic violence victims, sexual assault/rape victims, violent crime victims, community re-entry, along with various diverse populations within the field of behavioral/mental health and substance abuse. Shane understands that therapy is most successful when there is mutual respect and trust between the therapist and client. He has successfully worked with families, couples, partnerships, and adults from diverse sexual orientations, ethnicities, cultures, and religious backgrounds. Additionally, Shane blends humor, knowledge, passion, and compassion to further help couples, families, and individuals in an ever-changing world.
