Mx. Wilson is a 2021 graduate of the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, MO. They sat for the July Bar Exam later that same year. Child advocacy, social justice and activism are long-held passions of Mx. Wilson’s. They self-designed a major in Youth Advocacy for which they received their B.A. from Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y. This involved the interdisciplinary study of Political Science, Sociology, and Psychology. They also completed a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Mx. Wilson then returned to their hometown of Trenton, NJ where they worked as an Assistant Program Director for the Princeton Family YMCA. In that capacity, Mx. Wilson worked with school-age children from low income families and children with special needs, after school and during summer camp. Mx. Wilson served as Co-President for Washington University School of Law’s OUTLaw, LGBTQIA+ affinity group. They served as a member on the Women’s Law Caucus Diversity and Inclusion Committee for two years as a law student. They were also an active member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) for three years. Mx. Wilson completed a Semester-in-Practice Externship with the GAL Division during their third year of law school. Upon graduating, Mx. Wilson began part-time in the GAL Division while studying for the July 2021 Bar Exam. They began fulltime in with the Division on August 2, 2021.
