Mr. Welsh is a 2000 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He was admitted to practice in Ohio in 2001. From 1999 until 2002 he clerked for Carr and Shiverdecker assisting on a variety of criminal and civil cases. From 2001 until 2002 he worked in a private practice focusing on criminal defense, but also worked in variety of civil areas including landlord/tenant and domestic relations. In 2002 he began working at the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office in the Juvenile Division with a focus on delinquency cases, but also handled cases involving contempt and child custody. In 2004 he was promoted to the Municipal Court division, focusing on trial practice involving adult misdemeanor cases. In 2013 he was promoted to the Felony Court Division, and now handles a variety of felony and misdemeanor criminal cases.
