Act as court appointed Guardian Ad Litem for children who are the subjects of Dependency Court complaints alleging abuse, neglect and/or dependency. Make recommendations to Hamilton County Juvenile Courts. Advocate for children in Dependency, Delinquency and Probate court hearings and in all phases of Dependency litigation which includes trials, review hearings and In-Camera hearings.
Experience:
Kris started her career in 2014 working in a residential group home for girls with severe mental health and behavioral issues. Kris then transitioned to the Crisis Stabilization Unit at St. Joseph Orphanage (SJO) where she established 2 years in direct care for youth in crisis in Cincinnati/Kentucky. Kris was promoted to the Family Ties Foster Care Unit of SJO and worked in the role of case aide for roughly 3 years learning the in’s and outs of the foster care system, before being promoted again to an outpatient case manager. Kris then worked for central clinic of Clermont where she supervised visitations with children and their biological families before starting her own program called the Intensive Home Based Treatment carrying a dual role and providing therapeutic services to the entire county to help prevent removal and aid to family preservation while providing parent education, and therapy services to those most in need. Kris then completed 1.5 more years of foster care case management before joining the GAL division in March 2023.

B.A of Integrated Studies from Northern Kentucky University with a minor in addiction and family services. Focus areas of the degree are: Social Work, Psychology, Human Services
