Hugh Poland graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2025. While in law school, he worked as a Litigation Fellow for the Ohio Innocence Project and interned with the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office. After entering the bar in Colorado, Hugh worked as a trial attorney with the Office of the State Public Defender in the Glenwood Springs trial office. Prior to law school, Hugh graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Arabic and Communication Studies. Upon receiving his degree from WKU, Hugh joined Americorps and spent three years working with La Puente Home, serving the unhoused community in the San Luis Valley of Colorado.
