Emily graduated from Miami University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. In 2018, she moved to Knoxville where she went to the University of Tennessee College of Law. During her time there, Emily completed the Advocacy and Dispute Resolution concentration; competed in multiple mock trial competitions; was recognized for her leadership and involvement with her legal fraternity; and was awarded with the McClung Medal for Excellence in Moot Court, as well as selected for the Order of the Barristers. Emily graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2021 and was admitted to practice in Tennessee that same year. After graduation, she worked for a private criminal defense attorney in Knoxville. Emily moved home to the greater Cincinnati area in 2022 and was admitted to practice law in Ohio that same year. She joined the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office in August of 2022.
