Elizabeth Zilberberg is a 2010 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While in law school, she worked with the Ohio Innocence Project to investigate wrongful convictions, which ultimately led to exonerations and also helped draft a justice reform bill. During her second year of law school, Ms. Zilberberg also worked as a law clerk at Freking & Betz, LLC investigating claims of police brutality, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination. Additionally, Ms. Zilberberg also worked as an intern with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy during law school and represented clients in numerous hearings, while also assisting attorneys in preparation for trial in complex cases. Upon graduating from law school in 2010, Ms. Zilberberg went to work for the Louisville Metro Public Defender’s Office. While working with the Louisville Metro Public Defender’s Office, Ms. Zilberberg provided comprehensive and passionate representation of clients in felony, misdemeanor, juvenile courts, and also of clients who were involuntarily hospitalized due to mental illness. Ms. Zilberberg also successfully litigated numerous cases at the appellate level including the Kentucky Supreme Court. During her time with the Louisville Metro Public Defender’s Office, Ms. Zilberberg also mentored attorneys and interns, presented at conferences, and received awards for achievements in working with juvenile clients and clients that were involuntarily hospitalized. In October 2018, Ms. Zilberberg was honored to join the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office in the Juvenile Trial Division. Ms. Zilberberg is dedicated to providing the highest quality of representation to her clients and is grateful for the opportunity to do so for the wonderful people of her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
