Dan Might was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1996 after graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. His undergraduate degree is from Miami University, which he attended on a Naval R.O.T.C. scholarship. His first experience with law was as a naval officer fulfilling the collateral duty of Legal Officer on the U.S.S. Capodanno in Newport, R.I. After leaving the Navy he spent two years working as a newspaper reporter in Sandusky, Ohio, and then started law school at the University of Cincinnati. After law school, he worked for the Law Office of the Hamilton County Public Defender for nearly three years in the Juvenile and Municipal Court divisions. He worked for a corporation, a law firm, and in his own practice before rejoining the Public Defender’s office in 2006. Mr. Might spent more than five years counseling and representing clients facing misdemeanors in Municipal Court before being promoted to his present position in the Felony Court Services Division. In this position he continues to carry his own case load of clients facing felony charges in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court, while also helping to coordinate and support the efforts of felony panel attorneys from the initial appearance through the arraignment stages.
