Brittany Ellis is a 2020 magna cum laude graduate of Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law. During law school, Brittany competed on the National Trial Advocacy Team and was a member of the Constitutional Litigation Clinic at the Ohio Justice and Policy Center. Brittany worked as law clerk at the Cincinnati Bar Association for two years before joining the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Municipal Division in October 2020. In Municipal Court, Brittany strived to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients through motion and trial practice. Brittany received acquittals on behalf of her clients from judges and juries on charges such as Aggravated Menacing, Animal Cruelty, Assault, Criminal Damaging, Discharging Firearms, Domestic Violence, Obstructing Official Business, Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, Telecommunications Harassment, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Violating a Protection Order. Outside of work Brittany enjoys visiting her family and friends in Kentucky, trying new foods, reading for leisure, and spending time with her dogs, Kya and Cooper.
