Ali has been with the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office since 2020, when she started as a GAL Attorney in the Guardian ad Litem division, representing the best interest of kids subject to abuse, neglect, and dependency cases. In 2023, she transitioned to the Municipal Division, where she represented clients in Hamilton County Municipal Court from their initial arraignment through final resolution of their cases. In 2024, Ali was promoted to the Youth Defense Division, where she is excited to fight for young people facing delinquency cases.
Ali graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 2014 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Wyoming that same year. She has since been admitted to practice in Idaho (2016), Montana (2017) and Ohio (2020). Prior to moving to Cincinnati and landing her dream job as a dedicated public defender, Ali practiced in the areas of plaintiff’s civil litigation and private criminal defense, worked as a law clerk, and operated a solo practice.
