Angela Landa grew up in Utah and after graduating from Utah Valley University with her Bachelor’s degree she moved to Cincinnati to attend law school. Angela chose Cincinnati for law school because she had been offered a fellowship position working for the Ohio Innocence Project. The remainder of law school Angela gained experience through a judicial externship for Judge Kari Bloom of Hamilton County Juvenile Court, clerking at a local criminal defense firm, and interning at Kenton County’s Department of Public Advocacy office. Angela wrote two pieces that were published in 2021; an Op-ed (“Mount Healthy curfew might have created more crime”) and a legal article in the law journal of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“The Civil Penalty of Deportation”).
