Mr. Schoenling is a 2011 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law. He was admitted to practice in Ohio that same year. While attending law school, he served on the editorial board of The University of Dayton Law Review, and was selected for publication for his article H.B. 190: Policing Ohio’s School Districts, But at What Expense? He also served as the Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Judge Barbara Gorman in the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court drafting numerous decisions covering a diverse cross-section of cases. He spent his summers during law school clerking for The Ohio Justice and Policy Center working to aid the indigent population of the city and give them a voice in the legislative process. Upon graduating from law school, he worked for nine months for The Garretson Resolution Group coordinating the legal aspects surrounding the allocation and distribution of numerous high-profile class action settlements including both the World Trade Center and BP Oil Spill litigations.
