We celebrated a milestone that fills us with immense pride and optimism. Our dedicated Social Work team, just six months old, has already proven to be a powerful force for positive change. The outstanding individuals behind this are – Christie-Lee Griffin, Erika Metzger, Shane Satterfield, and Ashley Schroeder – they have accomplished something truly extraordinary.
To date, they have saved a staggering 10,086 days. These are not just numbers; they represent days that our clients did not spend behind bars at the Justice Center, thanks to the unwavering commitment and hard work of our Social Work staff. The daily cost of incarceration is $103.87, a financial burden that hurts individuals and our county.
What makes this achievement even more amazing is that our Social Workers have saved the county a substantial $1,047,632.82 in a relatively short time frame. This is a testament to the power of proactive social work in mitigating the criminal justice system. Beyond the numbers, it signifies that we are making a real difference in the lives of our clients and the community.
However, this is just the beginning. We are committed to continuing this positive movement and expanding our reach. As we grow and further, improve our relationships with the courts, and community leaders. We anticipate even more significant savings and, more importantly, a deeper impact on the lives of those we serve.
