Application Instructions for Sealing Juvenile Records
If you believe that you are eligible to have your juvenile record sealed, you must file an application. The Hamilton County Clerk of Courts, Juvenile Division, 800 Broadway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 is responsible for maintaining all the files for every case. To complete the paperwork, you will need to have your date of birth and social security number, along with your Case Number(s) which can be obtained from the Clerk of Courts. If the prosecutor does not object, the application will generally be granted with no hearing. If the prosecutor objects, a hearing will be scheduled.
Application Instructions for Expunging Juvenile Records
To have your records expunged earlier than the automatic expungement (after record is sealed, five years or age 23, whichever occurs first), you must file an application with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Clerk’s Office, 800 Broadway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
