Ms. Bachman is a 1999 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She was admitted to practice in Ohio that same year.
From 1999 to 2002 she maintained a private law office in Cincinnati, Ohio with an emphasis on family law.
A substantial portion of her private practice involved representing individuals in the area of family law, including but not limited to divorce, dissolution, child custody, child support and adoption.
Ms. Bachman handled felony appointments through the Hamilton County Public Defender Office prior to her joining the office in 2000.
Ms. Bachman started in the juvenile division of the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office in May 2000. While on the juvenile staff she tried many criminal cases and represented juveniles charged with all types of offenses ranging from minor offenses to the highest levels of felony offenses. She also tried several child custody cases.
In 2001, Ms. Bachman moved to the municipal trial division, where she represented adults charged with criminal misdemeanor offenses from their initial appearance at arraignment, through the pretrial and trial phases of the cases, and if warranted through the sentencing phase of the case.
Ms. Bachman moved to the Felony Drug Court Division in November 2011. She represents clients who are assigned to the felony drug court and are in need of substance abuse treatment.
