Mr. Laurens is a 2001 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He was admitted to practice in Ohio that same year.
At the University of Cincinnati, he served as a member of Law Review.
From 2001 to 2005 he maintained a private law office in Cincinnati, Ohio with an emphasis on criminal defense, bankruptcy and insurance defense litigation.
In 2005, he transitioned from felony contract attorney with Hamilton Public Defender’s Office to Municipal staff attorney.
Mr. Laurens has handled numerous felony appointments through the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office and has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in misdemeanor court since 2005, ranging from theft, OVI, domestic violence, assault, traffic offenses and all other applicable State of Ohio criminal code violations of misdemeanor law.
